My Mission

To provide Douglas County with experienced leadership that understands both the realities of the job and the weight being a law enforcement CEO carries. I believe in protecting our Constitutional rights, supporting the men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, ensuring criminals are held accountable, and working collaboratively with residents, businesses, and local leaders to keep our county safe.

Kieth Siebert for Sheriff

A little about me....

I am 55 years old and was born in Wenatchee.  I was raised in the Quincy area. After graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Army, serving in Military Intelligence as a German linguist. I am married to Leslie, owner of Columbia EMS in Quincy and part-time paramedic in Douglas and Chelan Counties. We are helping raise two elementary age boys, who are enrolled in the Eastmont School District. We also have two adult children and five grandchildren from a previous marriage.

I started my 29- year law enforcement career with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. I began as a Corrections Officer then advanced through the ranks as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, Special Operations Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant. This progression gave me firsthand experience at every level of the Sheriff’s Office—from jail operations and patrol to supervision, special operations, and command leadership.

That training, education and experience helped when I was selected as the Chief of the Qunicy Police Department. I served more than five years, where I led the agency’s staff, managed budgets, implemented modern policing strategies, and built strong partnerships with the community.

My Priorities...

I believe that effective law enforcement depends on healthy and well-trained law enforcement professionals. Focusing on that, I was able to help change the culture through effective and thoughtful hiring, officer training, officer wellness, and getting the right tools and equipment for the staff.

As the Sheriff, I will prioritize:

1. The health and wellness of our staff

2. Modern equipment and resources

3. Training and education

4. Transparency and Community Engagement

My Priorities

First Priority as Douglas County Sheriff

Law enforcement carries unseen burdens. My priority is to strengthen mental health resources, peer support, and training so our deputies have the tools they need — both on and off duty.

Second Priority as Douglas County Sheriff

Being fiscally responsible doesn’t mean buying cheap — it means buying smart. I will prioritize dependable, up-to-date equipment that protects deputies and taxpayers alike.

Third Priority as Douglas County Sheriff

Strong training builds strong decision-making. By investing in realistic, ongoing training, we strengthen public trust, improve safety, and support our deputies in doing the job right.

Fourth Priority as Douglas County Sheriff

Committed to open communication, accessible leadership, and meaningful community engagement. That means explaining decisions clearly, listening to concerns, and ensuring accountability at every level of the Sheriff’s Office.

A word from Larry Ledeboer

I worked with Kieth Siebert for most of my twenty years with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office until he became Chief of the Quincy Police Department.

Kieth was my immediate supervisor as Sergeant and Lieutenant.

It is my distinct honor to recommend Kieth Siebert for Douglas County Sheriff.

He embodies all the best qualities the people of Douglas County could want in a Sheriff.

His experience in law enforcement has prepared him at every level for policing in the 21st century.

He handled thousands of patrol calls as a deputy, corporal and sergeant.

As the Sergeant of Special Operations, he also managed the GCSO work at the Gorge concerts. This required him to make decisions that ranged from security, traffic and administration to name just a few. Each weekend he was responsible for a small city.

I could give many more examples of why I believe Kieth Siebert should be elected as the next Douglas County Sheriff.

Kieth is honest, hardworking and compassionate.

But - most importantly - Kieth believes the law applies to all people.

He will not favor any individual or group.

He will enforce the law equally for all.

I urge the voters of Douglas County to elect Kieth Siebert as the next Douglas County Sheriff. You have the chance to elect an individual who will make a difference for your county every single day.

I worked for Kieth while he was in one of his supervisory roles. He has a huge heart and cares for his people. Clearly that shows just in this small video. Not accepting campaign donations should tell you he's an honorable guy that can't be bought and is doing this for love of his community. If I lived in Douglas County, I would vote for Kieth!!

In Their Words

A word from Scott Allbrook

I worked with Keith when he was at the jail, started patrol, was an FTO, Sgt, in charge of Gorge Patrol, and a Field Lt. Keith has always been a professional, willing to help his coworkers and the citizens who he worked for.. It was a sad day for Grant County when a Deputy of his Caliber left the department, but it was a time for Quincy to shine, as he excelled at his job there. When I heard that Keith was retiring from Quincy, I took the time to make the trip over to see him and wish him all the best... but really I wanted to thank him for his service, his friendship and all the opportunities that he provided me to be a better person... We are still friends and will block aisles in the grocery stores for a minimal half hour chat session.... Douglas County will receive Transparency and Integrity having Keith as their Sheriff... Heck... I'd almost be willing to come out of retirement and be a janitor at his office for the chance to work with him again....

A word from Tracy Kissler

Keith is compassionate, tough, and fair. I attended Highschool with Keith. Even when I was in a bad spot he always treated me fair, offered the help I needed. Even put me in cuffs once and still I can say he is the right guy for the Job... Can't think of a better fit..
